EPA Solicits Public Input on Pesticide Regulations & Residues
WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency today announced it has accepted filings for six applications requesting changes to how pesticide residues are regulated on food crops. The agency is asking the public to provide feedback on these petitions, which concern the establishment or adjustment of chemical residue tolerances on a wide range of commodities. This action is mandated by the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

EPA: Revised Water Quality Standards Finalized for Delaware River
WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is issuing a final rule to revise water quality standards for specific sections of the mainstem Delaware River. The rule establishes a designated use to protect resident and migratory aquatic life and sets corresponding dissolved oxygen criteria for Zones 3, 4 and the upper part of Zone 5 of the river.
