 University of Alabama Professor Advocates For Continued Medicare Payment For Liver Scans WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- University of Alabama Division of Endocrinology Professor Rita Basu submitted a public comment letter to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) expressing support for the agency's proposed rule to continue reimbursement for a liver scan service at a specific rate for Calendar Year 2026.
