WASHINGTON, Aug. 24 (TNSFR) -- The Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District, Phoenix, Arizona, has finished an inventory of Native American human remains and artifacts and is preparing for their return to the Gila River Indian Community and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. This action is consistent with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act, a federal law that facilitates the return of cultural items.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 (TNSFR) -- The University of Florida Museum of Natural History has completed an inventory under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and will repatriate human remains and 257 funerary objects from the Cutler Fossil Site in Miami-Dade County to three Native American tribes.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 24 (TNSFR) -- The University of Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist has finalized an inventory of human remains, with plans to repatriate them to the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria in California.
