WASHINGTON, Aug. 21 -- The National Thoroughbred Racing Association, Lexington, Kentucky, has submitted a public comment letter to the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) expressing strong support for a proposed rule that would eliminate the requirement for horses to be accompanied by pre-export veterinary examination documentation within 48 hours of their departure.
