EPA Approves Indiana's Plan to Clean Up Sulfur Dioxide in Huntington County
WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has issued a final rule addressing air quality standards in Huntington County, Indiana.
The rule confirms that the area did not meet the 2010 Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) National Ambient Air Quality Standard by the deadline of April 9, 2023. At the same time, the EPA is approving Indiana's plan, which is designed to bring the area into compliance.
The approved plan, which is now part of the Indiana State Implementation Plan (SIP)
