Army Wants 22,000 Acres for Yuma Proving Ground Expansion
WASHINGTON, Aug. 1 (TNSFR) -- The Army is seeking to add approximately 22,000 acres of land to the Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. This expansion is meant to create a safety buffer for testing advanced air delivery and aviation systems. A final Legislative Environmental Impact Statement (LEIS) has been completed and will be sent to Congress for a decision.

WASHINGTON, July 29 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Arizona State Office has amended a prior notice regarding the cultural affiliation of human remains. This adjustment revises the list of Indian tribes or native Hawaiian organizations connected to the remains.
The amendment concerns human remains previously addressed in a notice published on May 16, 2025.
