DOT Announces $5.4 Million Grant for Kansas Transload Facility Construction
WASHINGTON, July 17 -- The U.S. Department of Transportation, through the DOT - Federal Railroad Administration, has announced a funding opportunity aimed at enhancing rail infrastructure in Kansas. The total estimated funding of $5.4 million will support the construction of approximately four miles of railroad track, including a 1.5-mile circular loop track designed for unit train load out of grain.
