University of Alabama Birmingham Campus to Return Ancestral Remains to 5 Native American Tribes
WASHINGTON, July 10 (TNSFR) -- The University of Alabama, Birmingham Campus, has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects, establishing a cultural affiliation with five Indian tribes and native Hawaiian organizations.
This includes the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas, Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, Poarch Band of Creek Indians, Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and the Thlopthlocco Tribal Town. This action is in accordance with the N
