Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History to Repatriate Objects to Caddo Nation, Wichita & Affiliated Tribes
WASHINGTON, June 28 (TNSFR) -- The University of Oklahoma Sam Noble Museum of Natural History has completed an inventory of an associated funerary object and determined a cultural affiliation between it and the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma and the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes. This action is in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
The single associated funerary object is a lot of ceramic vessels. This item was removed from the Moore site (34Lf31) in LeFlore C

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to Repatriate Human Remains, Objects to Quapaw Nation
WASHINGTON, June 28 (TNSFR) -- The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has completed an inventory of human remains representing at least two individuals and 12 associated funerary objects. A cultural affiliation has been determined between these remains and objects and the Quapaw Nation. This repatriation effort is in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
