WASHINGTON, May 16 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Arizona State Office has finalized an inventory of Native American human remains, determining a cultural affiliation with several Indian Tribes in Arizona.
According to a notice published by the National Park Service on May 16, 2025, the remains represent at least one individual and were originally identified during the Los Robles Archaeological Survey conducted in 1985 and 1986 at site AZ AA:11:79(ASM)

Ralph T Coe Center in Santa Fe to Repatriate Ceremonial Birchbark Scroll to Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians
WASHINGTON, May 16 (TNSFR) -- Ralph T Coe Center for the Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico, will repatriate a sacred cultural item to the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana under the provisions of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
The item identified for return is a birchbark scroll, designated as NA0274 a, which qualifies as both a sacred object and an object of cultural patrimony under federal law.

Sonoma State University Completes Inventory of Associated Funerary Objects Affiliated With Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians
WASHINGTON, May 16 (TNSFR) -- Sonoma State University, located in Rohnert Park, California, has completed an inventory of associated funerary objects under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
The university determined that 279 funerary objects, which include glass and shell beads, flaked stone tools, debitage, and modified and unmodified shells, have a cultural affiliation with the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians of the Big Valley Rancheria, California.
