FAA Finalizes Land Release at DeWitt Field in Old Town, Maine
WASHINGTON, May 13 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced a final decision to release federal obligations on 5.5 acres of land at DeWitt Field, Old Town Municipal Airport, in Old Town, Maine.
The decision, published in the Federal Register on May 13, 2025, concerns land originally deeded to the airport sponsor--the City of Old Town--by the United States Government on June 5, 1941, under an AP-4 agreement.

FERC Announces Environmental Assessment for Hydro-Kennebec Hydroelectric Project
WASHINGTON, May 13 (TNSFR) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has announced its intention to prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Hydro-Kennebec Hydroelectric Project located on the Kennebec River in Kennebec and Somerset counties, Maine.
The announcement follows an application submitted by Hydro Kennebec LLC on February 14, 2025, requesting a temporary variance to lower the project's reservoir elevation for necessary maintenance.
