NRC Accepts American Centrifuge Operating's License Amendment Application for Piketon, Ohio Facility
WASHINGTON, March 25 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has formally accepted a license amendment application from American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (ACO), doing business as ACO, to continue uranium enrichment operations at the American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio. This amendment, submitted on December 19, 2024, seeks authorization to extend high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) production for up to nine years beyond the current expiration date of June 30, 2025.   more
