Illinois State Museum to Repatriate Arikara Funerary Objects
WASHINGTON, March 15 (TNSFR) -- The Illinois State Museum has announced its intention to repatriate a collection of 19 unassociated funerary objects to the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation, North Dakota, in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).

WASHINGTON, March 15 (TNSFR) -- The Illinois State Museum has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and has determined a cultural affiliation between the remains and multiple tribal nations.
