Harvard's Peabody Museum to Repatriate Native American Remains Collected From Boarding Schools
WASHINGTON, March 15 (TNSFR) -- The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and determined cultural affiliation with several Native American Tribes.

WASHINGTON, March 15 (TNSFR) -- The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University has identified a cultural affiliation between human remains in its collection and the Sherwood Valley Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California.

WASHINGTON, March 15 (TNSFR) -- Naval Base Coronado in California has announced plans to repatriate unassociated funerary objects, sacred objects, and objects of cultural patrimony that were excavated from San Clemente Island.
This action follows the requirements of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) and aims to return these cultural items to the appropriate Native American Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations.
