EPA Proposes Approval of Kansas Air Quality Rule Revisions
WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve revisions to the Kansas State Implementation Plan (SIP) and Operating Permits Program, as well as the 112(l) plan submitted by the state on February 20, 2023.
The revisions aim to update the Class I emission fee and emissions inventory regulations, establish a Class II fee schedule, and ensure the state's Operating Permits Program is sufficiently funded. These changes do not affect air quality

KANSAS CITY, Missouri, Jan. 15 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri issued the following news release:
A Kansas City, Mo., man has been indicted by a federal grand jury in two separate and unrelated cases for drug trafficking and illegally possessing firearms. A Kansas City, Kansas, man is also charged in one of those cases with illegally possessing a firearm.
