In October 2024, the job openings rate was 8.8 percent in Colorado, 6.6 percent in Alaska, and 6.5 percent in Kentucky and West Virginia. Job openings rates were 6.0 percent or higher in five other states: Maine, Virginia, Oklahoma, Mississippi and South Carolina.
