National Agricultural Statistics Service: U.S. Hog Inventory Up 1%
WASHINGTON, Dec. 24 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service issued the following news release on Dec. 23, 2024:
As of Dec. 1, there were 75.8 million hogs and pigs on U.S. farms, up 1% from December 2023, but down slightly from Sept. 1, 2024, according to the Quarterly Hogs and Pigs report published today by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS).
