JACKSON, Mississippi, Dec. 24 -- The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce posted the following news release on Dec. 23, 2024:
Today, the Mississippi Board of Animal Health (MBAH) issued a certificate of veterinary inspection to Santa Claus of the North Pole, permitting Mr. Claus' reindeer entry to the state of Mississippi for an "annual business trip" the night of Christmas Eve, December 24.

JACKSON, Mississippi, Dec. 24 -- The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce issued the following news release:
The Mississippi Board of Animal Health (MBAH) has been notified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Veterinary Services Laboratory that poultry from a commercial breeder chicken flock in Greene County, Mississippi has tested positive for highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza.
