Iowa U.S. Attorney: Council Bluffs Man Sentenced to 84 Months for Drug Charges
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa, Nov. 16 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa issued the following news release on Nov. 14, 2024:
A Council Bluffs man was sentenced today to 84 months in federal prison for Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance.
According to public court documents, in 2023, Carlos Garcia Garcia, 41, distributed large quantities of methamphetamine in the Council Bluffs area. Drug proceeds seized during the investigation totaled $58,700, which was f

Iowa U.S. Attorney: Palo Alto Man Convicted of Drug Offense Near Emmetsburg High School
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, Nov. 16 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Iowa issued the following news release:
David Specketer, 57, from Emmetsburg, Iowa, pled guilty in federal court in Sioux City on November 14, 2024, to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a protected location. Specketer was previously convicted of conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine in 2013.
