JACKSON, Mississippi, Sept. 28 -- Gov. Tate Reeves, R-Mississippi, issued the following news release on Sept. 27, 2024:
Governor Tate Reeves today announced the appointment of Jason D. Herring of Saltillo as District Attorney for the First Circuit Court District, which covers Alcorn, Itawamba, Lee, Monroe, Pontotoc, Prentiss and Tishomingo Counties. This appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of the Honorable John Weddle.
