Media Alert: Low-level helicopter flights to image geology over parts of north central Colorado
WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's U.S. Geological Survey issued the following news release:
RESTON, Va. Low-level helicopter flights are planned over a broad region in north central Colorado to image geology using airborne geophysical technology. Flying will begin in mid-August 2024 and is slated to last up to three months, weather and wildfire restrictions permitting.
Flights will cover portions of Boulder, Chaffee, Clear Creek, Eagle, Gilpin, Grand, Jefferson, Lake

NASA Mission Concludes After Years of Successful Asteroid Detections
WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 -- NASA issued the following news release:
This final image captured by NASA's NEOWISE shows part of the Fornax constellation in the Southern Hemisphere. Processed by IPAC at Caltech, this is the mission's 26,886,704th exposure. It was taken by the spacecraft just before 3 a.m. EDT on Aug. 1, when the mission's survey ended.
