Birmingham, AL Today, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) celebrated the announcement by the U.S. Department of the Interior of its plans to nominate five Alabama Civil Rights sites to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The Alabama sites designated for potential nomination include:
Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama
Bethel Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama
