Attorney General Miyares Leads Effort to Protect Parental Rights at the Supreme Court
RICHMOND, Virginia, July 10 -- Virginia Attorney General Jason S. Miyares issued the following news release on July 8, 2024:
Attorney General Jason Miyares today led a 16-state coalition in filing an amicus brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to protect parents' fundamental rights to make decisions about their children's welfare.

DNR Director Riley Announces Departure From State Government
LINCOLN, Nebraska, July 10 -- Gov. Jim Pillen, R-Nebraska, issued the following news release on July 9, 2024:
Today, Governor Jim Pillen announced that Tom Riley, director of the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be leaving his position with the state and transitioning back to the private sector.
Riley's last day with the agency will be Aug. 2.
