ERO Boston removes Brazilian fugitive wanted for rape in home country
WASHINGTON, July 8 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued the following news release:
BOSTON -- Enforcement and Removal Operations Boston removed a 40-year-old Brazilian national charged with rape in Brazil. Deportation officers from ERO removed Marcio Dos Santos from the United States to Brazil May 31 and handed him over to Brazilian authorities.

Railroad Crossing Safety Improvement Project on Route 6 in Bristol Begins July 13
HARTFORD, Connecticut, July 8 -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation issued the following news release:
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is alerting the public that the replacement of the railroad crossing on Route 6 (Farmington Avenue) in Bristol is scheduled to begin at approximately 5 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024. To ensure the safety of workers and the public, the area near the rail crossing will be closed to all vehicular traffic for approximately 72 hours.
