LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, June 5 -- The Kentucky Air National Guard issued the following news on June 4, 2024: A crew of Kentucky Air National Guardsmen departed here for France last week aboard an aircraft emblazoned with distinctive World War II "Invasion Stripes" to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
