WASHINGTON, May 19 (TNSres) -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following report (No. USDL-24-0947) on May 17, 2024, entitled "State Employment and Unemployment - April 2024": * * * Unemployment rates were lower in April in 5 states, higher in 2 states, and stable in 43 states and the District of Columbia, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Thirty states had jobless rate increases from a year earlier, 1 state had a decrease, and 19 states an  more
