Calif. PUC Advises of New 837 Area Code Coming to 530 Region
SAN FRANCISCO, California, May 17 -- The California Public Utilities Commission issued the following news release:
The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) today advised residential and business customers served by the 530 area code that the new 837 area code will be added as an overlay starting January 31, 2025.

Releases from Davis Dam temporarily reduced
WASHINGTON, May 17 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation issued the following news release:
BOULDER CITY, Nev. - On May 21, the Bureau of Reclamation will temporarily reduce releases to approximately 1,400 cubic feet per second from Davis Dam from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. MDT.
