Alexandria Police Department Investigates Overnight Sexual Assault
ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, Feb. 22 -- The city of Alexandria issued the following news release: The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that occurred overnight. An adult woman was walking after midnight in the area of Mount Vernon and Commonwealth Avenue when she was attacked and assaulted by a stranger. The woman is being treated at a local hospital.
