Black Hawk College: Student-Athletes Named to AD's Academic List for Fall 2023
MOLINE, Illinois, Jan. 19 -- Black Hawk College issued the following news release:
Student-athletes from all eight Black Hawk College teams have been named to the Athletic Director's Academic List for achieving a 3.25 GPA or higher during the Fall 2023 semester.
The 68 student-athletes on the list represent 49% of BHC players. To qualify for the list, student-athletes must be taking at least 12 credit hours.
The softball team had the highest percentage of players on the list - 73% of the team

ST. JAMES, Louisiana, Jan. 20 -- Earthjustice issued the following news release:
Today, a Louisiana appellate court affirmed the Department of Environmental Quality decision to issue air permits that Formosa Plastics needs to build its proposed petrochemical complex in St. James Parish. The decision, issued over a dissent, comes after Louisiana's 19th Judicial District Court reversed the decision last year, vacating all permits and forcing LDEQ to reassess.
