WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 -- Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-North Carolina, chairwoman of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, issued the following news release on Nov. 27, 2023:

Manning Statement on Hostage Release and Four Day Ceasefire
WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 -- Rep. Kathy Manning, D-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
"I welcome the release of Israeli hostages as a part of the four day pause in fighting. I rejoice with the families whose loved ones are returning home and I continue to pray for the families whose loved ones are still being held in Gaza by Hamas. I am relieved that over these four days, 50 hostages who were abducted are expected to be released but, every hostage must be brought home.
