MONTGOMERY, Alabama, Nov. 2 -- The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs issued the following news release:
Gov. Kay Ivey has announced grants totaling more than $2 million to improve recreational facilities in six Alabama communities.

Alabama State University: Alum NPR VP for USA
MONTGOMERY, Alabama, Nov. 3 -- Alabama State University issued the following news:
National Public Radio (NPR) has promoted an Alabama State University alumna, Whitney Maddox (Class of 2009), to the position of vice president of the Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) division for the venerable national news media and entertainment radio entity. Maddox's promotion comes just two years after she was hired as the manager of NPR's DEI department at its corporate headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Bryant Bank Gives $250K to Support UAH Nursing and Business Colleges, Athletics

Bryant Bank continued its longstanding support of The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) on Oct. 4 with a combined donation of $250,000 to three UAH programs: $100,000 each to the College of Nursing and the College of Business for scholarships and $50,000 to the Department of Athletics.
