Researchers develop new method to analyze proteins in ecologically significant moss
OAK RIDGE, Tennessee, Oct. 31 -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory issued the following news release:
Sphagnum mosses dominate peatlands that store about a third of the world's terrestrial carbon.
A type of peat moss has surprised scientists with its climate resilience: Sphagnum divinum is actively speciating in response to hot, dry conditions.
