Campbell University: Carpenter Named President-Elect of Mathematical Association of America
BUIES CREEK, North Carolina, Oct. 30 -- Campbell University issued the following news:
Dr. Jenna Carpenter, founding dean of Campbell University's School of Engineering and professor of engineering, was named president-elect of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), the organization announced in October.
Coming off her year-long tenure as president of the American Society for Engineering Education, Carpenter will take office as head of the MAA on July 1, 2024.

N.C. Gov. Cooper Directs $1.4M to Expand School Breakfast Programs
RALEIGH, North Carolina, Oct. 24 -- Gov. Roy Cooper, D-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
Today, Governor Roy Cooper announced that he is directing $1.4 million in federal funding to assist schools in expanding school breakfast programs. The funds will be used to provide grants to school districts and charter schools to assist with implementing innovative school breakfast models to expand student participation in school breakfast.
