St. John's (Minn.) used a stingy defense to hand conference rival, then-No. 18 Bethel (Minn.), a 27-7 loss. The Johnnies held Bethel to just 89 rushing yards and 233 yards of total offense. The win vaulted St. John's to No. 9 in this week's AFCA Division III Coaches' Top 25 Poll while the loss dropped the Royals out of the Top 25.
