Army Corps of Engineers: Meeting Dates Changed for the Draft Master Plan for Harry S. Truman Lake
WARSAW, Missouri, Aug. 30 -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Kansas City District issued the following news release:
The public meeting dates to discuss the Draft Master Plan for Harry S. Truman Lake have been rescheduled. The new dates for the meetings are as follows:
* September 12, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Warsaw Community Building, 181 W. Harrison Street, Warsaw, MO 65355
* September 13, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lakeland R-3 School District, 12530 Lakeland

U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri: Jury Convicts Two Men of Murder, Drug Trafficking, Illegal Firearms
KANSAS CITY, Missouri, Aug. 30 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri issued the following news release on Aug. 28, 2023:
A Kansas City, Mo., man and a Crowder, Mississippi, man were convicted by a federal jury today for their roles in a drug-trafficking conspiracy that included two murders.
Shawn Burkhalter, also known as "Deuce," 34, of Kansas City, and Joshua Nesbitt, also known as "T," 29, of Crowder, each were found guilty of two counts of murder resulting
