Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency: Soldier Accounted for From World War II (Lillard, L.)
WASHINGTON, Aug. 15 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency issued the following news release on Aug. 14, 2023:
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced today that U.S. Army Pfc. Lex L. Lillard, 20, of Tucson, Arizona, who was captured and died as a prisoner of war during World War II, was accounted for May 22, 2023.
In late 1941, Lillard was a member of the Medical Department of Manila and Subic Bays in the Philippines, when Japanese forces invaded
