New Tucson Electric Power Rates Support Investments in Safe, Reliable Service
TUCSON, Arizona, Aug. 10 -- Tucson Electric Power issued the following news release:
New rates for Tucson Electric Power customers will take effect Sept. 1 to help cover rising costs and support recent investments in safe, reliable service.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 -- The Sierra Club issued the following news release:
In a blow to Tucson Electric Power (TEP) ratepayers, the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), Arizona's public utilities commission, today voted to approve TEP's rate increase proposal which will raise residential ratepayers' bills by an average of 9.02%. After the ACC's decision today, customers will see their bills increase as early as September 1.
