DOE: Intern Develops Technology to Find EV Charging Vulnerabilities
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, July 19 -- The U.S. Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory issued the following news release:
Idaho National Laboratory intern Jake Guidry has developed a cybersecurity research tool that could improve the security of electric vehicle charging.
INL experts demonstrated the tool to colleagues from Sandia and Pacific Northwest national laboratories on June 7. The AcCCS tool provides access capabilities through CCS (combined charging system) communications protocol.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, July 21 -- The U.S. Attorney for the District of Idaho, Joshua D. Hurwit, issued the following new release on July 20, 2023:
Matthew James Holmberg, 20, of Spokane Valley, Washington, was sentenced Monday, July 1, 2023, to 19 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance and discharge of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, announced U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit.
