ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 19 -- The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation issued the following news release:
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is pleased to announce a monitoring plan for sampling drinking water for 29 per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in 193 Alaska Native Village and disadvantaged communities' Public Water Systems using the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Emerging Contaminants Tribal Drinking Water Grant.

Alaska Gov. Dunleavy Signs SB 58 to Extend Postpartum Medicaid Coverage
JUNEAU, Alaska, July 20 -- Gov. Mike Dunleavy, R-Alaska, issued the following news release on July 19, 2023:
Today Governor Mike Dunleavy signed SB 58, extending eligibility for postpartum Medicaid.
Previously, postpartum Medicaid coverage in Alaska lasted only 60 days. This legislation extends coverage to 12 months.
