Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency: Soldier Accounted for From World War II (Brinks, W.)
WASHINGTON, May 16 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency issued the following news release on May 15, 2023:
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced today that U.S. Army Pfc. Willard H. Brinks, 24, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, killed during World War II, was accounted for July 20, 2022.
In November 1942, Brinks was assigned to the Company K, 3rd Battalion, 126th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division, deployed in present day Papua New Guinea. As p
