N.C. U.S. Attorney: Kernersville Man Sentenced to Prison, Ordered to Pay $956,028 for Filing False Tax Returns
GREENSBORO, North Carolina, May 16 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina, Sandra J. Hairston, issued the following news release on May 15, 2023:
A local man was sentenced in federal court today for filing false tax returns. U.S. District Court Judge William Osteen, Jr. sentenced Brandon Michalak, 41, to 15 months in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Michalak was ordered to pay restitution of $956,028 in tax loss to the IRS.
