Groundbreaking Research on Male Infertility Lands UToledo Student Goldwater Scholarship
TOLEDO, Ohio, April 21 (TNSres) -- The University of Toledo issued the following news release:
An Honors biology student at The University of Toledo was awarded the 2023 Goldwater Scholarship, considered the country's most prestigious award undergraduate students in STEM can receive.
Derek Kluczynski, a junior from Bedford Township, Mich., is one of the 413 Goldwater Scholars awarded this year from a field of more than 5,000 college students.
The Goldwater Scholarship was established in 1986

LaRose Announces Record First Quarter Business Creation
COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 21 -- Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose issued the following news release:
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced another strong month for new business growth this year with 18,881 new business filings in March 2023. The first quarter of 2023 saw the highest new business creation in state history with 51,881 new business filings.
"This is an incredible accomplishment given the national economic uncertainties facing today's job creators," said Secretary LaRose.

Organizations Receive Ohio EPA Education Grants

Ohio organizations are receiving Ohio EPA Environmental Education mini grants for projects in multiple counties focused on environmental education. Five mini grants are being awarded statewide for a total of $23,364.
