Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency: Soldier Accounted for From World War II (Williams, M.)
WASHINGTON, March 21 -- The U.S. Department of Defense's Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency issued the following news release on March 20, 2023:
The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced today that Army Pvt. Myron E. Williams, 29, of Dixon, Illinois, killed during World War II, was accounted for July 13, 2022.
In November 1944, Williams was assigned to Company L, 3rd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. His unit was engaged in battle with German forces near Hur
