Southern Environmental Law Center: Lawsuit Alleges TVA Greenlit New Gas Plant Without Fully Studying Climate Impacts
NASHVILLE, Tennessee, Dec. 28 (TNSgov) -- The Southern Environmental Law Center issued the following news release:
The Southern Environmental Law Center, on behalf of the Sierra Club, filed a lawsuit against the Tennessee Valley Authority alleging the federally-owned utility violated federal law when it approved a new gas plant without fully studying the plant's environmental and climate impacts.
