Sens. Collins, Portman Lead Push for Commerce Dept. to Implement Broadband Expansion as Congress Intended
WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, issued the following news release and an Aug. 18, 2022, letter:
U.S. Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Rob Portman (R-OH) led a group of 14 Senators in sending a letter to Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, calling on the department to follow congressional intent in implementing the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program that was created through the bipartisan infrastructure law.
