WASHINGTON, June 10 -- Rep. Terri A. Sewell, D-Ala., has introduced legislation (H.R. 7990) to "amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to temporarily expand the low-income housing tax credit for healthcare-oriented housing." The bill was introduced on June 8 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, Danny K. Davis, D-Ill., and Gregory F. Murphy, R-N.C. It was referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
