Alaska A.G. Taylor: Ninth Circuit Decision on Land Exchange for Road Facilitating Medical Evacuations
JUNEAU, Alaska, March 18 -- Alaska Attorney General Treg R. Taylor issued the following news release: The Ninth Circuit reversed the district court's invalidation of an Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act (ANILCA) land exchange agreement between the Department of Interior (DOI) and King Cove Corporation (KCC). KCC intends to use the land it will obtain in the exchange to build a road to the City of Cold Bay and facilitate access to the all-weather airport for medical evacuations.   more
