Conservation Law Foundation: Schnitzer Steel Sued for Polluting Rivers
BOSTON, Massachusetts, Feb. 23 (TNSOps) -- The Conservation Law Foundation issued the following news release on Feb. 22, 2022:
Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) filed three lawsuits against Schnitzer Steel today to address Clean Water Act violations at ten scrap metal facilities in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Puerto Rico. The company's stormwater runoff is polluting nearby rivers with toxic metals like lead and petroleum products every time it rains.
