N.C. U.S. Attorney: Asheville Jury Convicts Franklin, N.C. Man of Starting Fire That Burned More Than 70 Acres of Federal Land
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, Jan. 7 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, Dena J. King, issued the following news release on Jan. 6, 2022:
U.S. Attorney Dena J. King announced today that a federal jury sitting in Asheville found Casey Lee Evans, 42, of Franklin, N.C., guilty of starting a fire that burned more than 70 acres of federal land.
