WASHINGTON, July 29 -- Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, issued the following news release on July 28, 2021:
Congressman Jared Golden (ME-02) today secured an amendment to the FY22 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that authorizes the Navy to enter into a multiyear contract to build up to 15 DDG-51 destroyers beginning in FY2023.
